Javier Sobrado, MD

Medical Director, Primary Investigator
Dr. Javier Sobrado has been in practice for more than 25 years. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Costa Rica before moving to the United States. He started his medical and research career in the United States as a Research Fellow in Nutrition and Metabolism at Harvard Medical School. He then completed his Internal Medicine Residency and Gastroenterology Fellowship at the Tulane University of Louisiana. Dr. Sobrado is a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He values research and wants to provide a variety of research opportunities to his patients. Furthermore, he is dedicated to providing a more diverse patient population for pharmaceutical clinical trials. In addition to his research endeavors, he is the director of the gastroenterology fellowship program at He has been the principal investigator in multiple trials concerning gastrointestinal issues and procedures including ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s Disease, capsule endoscopy, and advanced endoscopic procedures.


Cristina Marin, MD


Sub-Investigator
Dr. Cristina Marin has been in practice for over 5 years. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. Dr. Marin attended the University of Miami School of Medicine, completed residency in internal medicine at Emory University, and a specialization in gastroenterology at University of South Florida. She has been a sub-investigator in multiple trials concerning gastrointestinal issues and procedures including ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s Disease, capsule endoscopy, and advanced endoscopic procedures.

Jacqueline Rodriguez-Amado

Executive Director and Research Coordinator
Jacqueline Rodriguez-Amado has been involved in clinical trial research for over 15 years.  She received a doctor of medicine degree from the Superior Institute of Medical Sciences in Havana, Cuba before moving to Mexico to further her research career.  She worked her way up from a study coordinator to a sub-investigator and eventually a primary investigator at the Desarrollos Biomedicos y Technologicos de Mexico.  After moving to the United States, she obtained her medical assistant license.  As the Executive Director of Research Associates, Jacqueline oversees the clinical trials and medical operations of the company.


Katy Sobrado, PsyD


Grant Manager
Dr. Katy Sobrado is the grant manager for Research Associates.  Having a background as a clinical psychologist and grant writer/manager for nonprofits, she provides the administrative, grant management, and regulatory support for the group.  She completed her doctorate in clinical psychology at the University of Indianapolis before completing her internship and postdoctoral residency at the University of Miami and the Mailman Segal Center for Human Development at Nova Southeastern University, respectively.  Dr. Katy worked at a nonprofit for people with disabilities, and her grant efforts were focused on training health professionals to work with people on the autism spectrum.


Laritza Lincheta

Research Coordinator
Laritiza Lincheta started her medical career in Cuba where she obtained her Doctor of Medicine from the Superior Institute of Medical Sciences in Havana, Cuba and completed her Gastroenterology Fellowship at the Institute of Cuba.  After moving to the United States she became a licensed medical assistant and is currently enrolled in coursework to become a registered nurse.  She is skilled at working with patients and provides excellent care.  As our primary Research Coordinator, Laritza has regular interaction with patients to ensure their needs are being met.
